The Oak is considered to be the king of trees , the tree of learning,
and the
guardian of sacred realms. Oak species have been held sacred by nearly all
cultures
that encounter them. The Oak is tied to Odin (Odinism), Zeus (Greek),
Jupiter (Roman),
Lugh (Celtic), Brigid (Celtic), Merlin (Druidry), and St. Columba
(Christian). Oaks are
revered for their magnificent size and beauty, as well as their resilience
and acorns.
Country-people have frequented the oak for its curative powers, which can
aid in
success, protection, prosperity, and focus.
An Oracle can be a place, such as a shrine blessed to the worship and
consultation
of a prophetic deity. It may be a person, such as a priestess,
through whom
a deity is held to respond when consulted. It could also be the
prediction or the
passing of knowledge and wisdom.
Hence, OAK GROVE ORACLE represents the inner creative spirit of Radical
Faeries,
regardless of where they may be located or what belief system they may
honor. It is
